Do you want the Greens running your economy?

The Greens aren’t who they used to be. They stopped caring about the environment years ago.

Grocery prices continue to rise, as do household utility bills.

Your hip pocket is suffering.

The Greens don’t care.

They are too busy supporting violent protesters at pro-Hamas demonstrations.

Everyday Australians are feeling Labor’s economic mismanagement. And the Greens and the Teals support them every step of the way.

The power-hungry Greens believe that even Labor doesn’t go far enough to promote their radical left-wing agenda.

Their latest obsession is the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA).

Shouldn’t the Greens be thinking about saving trees instead of wanting to destroy the country with their version of Marxism?

Nope, instead they’re attacking the independence of the RBA, which they see as a hurdle to their plan to rule over the Australian economy with an iron fist.

The Greens believe federal governments should wield their power over the RBA, however they choose.

They have recently issued an ultimatum for Treasurer Jim Chalmers to use his existing powers to lower interest rates.

While Chalmers has the power to intervene, there has never been a Treasurer in history who has taken such a step … ABC News reports that such powers “have never been used”.

If Chalmers succumbed to these outlandish demands by the Greens, this would be a clear overstep, blurring an important line.

In a statement, this is what the Greens said last week: “The Reserve Bank should lower interest rates tomorrow and if they don’t, the Treasurer should use his existing powers to bring down interest rates and relieve pressure on mortgage holders.”

According to Super Review, the Greens are consciously and deliberately placing the RBA in the centre of political debate. This is reckless and harmful for an already fragile economy.

Greens economic justice spokesperson, Nick McKim, said that “the Treasurer has the power to step in, he’s just not using it. The Reserve Bank could act, but they are not acting.”

Sure, the RBA isn’t perfect.

But do you really want the Greens running the economy?
